The Residence Hall Association (RHA) has existed in many forms throughout UConn's history. Today, the organization strives to represent over 12,000 graduate and undergraduate residents at the University of Connecticut. The Residence Hall Association is well known for its programming such as its annual Southapalooza Carneval and sending delegations to regional and national leadership conferences. It's determination to advocate for the needs of all residents, spreads the influence of the organization all throughout campus and Storrs, CT.

A delegation of UConn RHA members attended the National Association for College and University Residence Halls (NACURH) Conference at the University of Colorado in Boulder from June 1-4, 2012 where they participated in leadership workshops, networked with student leaders from around the world, and represented UConn. Are you interested in getting involved in RHA? Area Council Elections will take place Sept. 10-12, 2012. Application and petition forms will be available at the start of the Fall semester in your HD's Office or the RHA Office. RHA General Board Meetings are held every other Tuesday at 6:30 pm in the Student Union, Rm. 104. All residential students are welcome to attend RHA General Board Meetings. Area Council Presidents and Vice Presidents are required to attend the meetings. The first RHA Meeting of the semester will be on Tuesday, Sept. 25. Committee Meetings: RHA Committee Meeting Dates & Times will be set at the beginning of the Fall semester. Information will be posted on this Website. RHA Executive Board Meetings: RHA Executive Board Meeting Dates & Times will be set at the beginning of the Fall semester. If you are interested in attending an Executive Board Meeting, please contact RHA President Jeff Braun at uconnrha@gmail.com to request to be added to the agenda. Saturday, April 20: RHA, Husky Records and UConn Empower will be presenting their combined event, UCONNAPALOOZA! Join us for our huge spring event! Fall 2012 Friday, Aug. 24 : RHA members will be tabling in first-year areas for First-Year Move-In. Come find us to learn more about RHA! Monday, Aug. 27 - Friday, Aug. 31: - Area Council Informational Meetings held in all residential areas. Talk to your HD or RA for more information. Wednesday, Sept. 5 @ 2-7 pm: Involvement Fair in the Field House. Stop by the RHA table to find out how you can get involved in your Area Council and RHA. Friday, Sept. 7 @ Noon: Area Council Executive Board Applications and Petition Forms due to your Area Council Advisor (HD or ARHD). Monday, Sept. 10 @ Noon - Wednesday, Sept. 12 @ Midnight: Area Council Elections! All residential students will receive an e-mail with information on how to vote for their representatives. Saturday, Sept. 15 @ 9 am - 2 pm: RHA Leadership Conference for all Area Council members in the Student Union Sunday, Sept. 16 @ Noon - 6 pm: RHA Ropes Course for all Area Council members. Meet on Fairfield Way. Tuesday, Sept. 25 @ 6:30 pm: First RHA Meeting in the Student Union, Rm. 104. Area Council Presidents and Vice Presidents are required to attend. All other Area Council members and residential students are welcome to join us as well!
